President Donald Trump is taking construction manager positions to the fore with an overhaul of the government workforce.
Sources told The Hill that Trump is creating hundreds of new construction jobs and creating thousands of new positions in the construction industry to be used by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Sources said Trump is expected to name two new construction managers and one construction executive as early as this week.
Sources said the president is expected also to add dozens of construction jobs to the White House workforce.
The construction industry employs more than 100,000 people and employs over $50 trillion annually.
Trump has said he wants to create “an incredible infrastructure that puts America first and that builds new jobs for American workers.”
“I’m creating thousands and thousands of jobs to create a true American renaissance,” Trump said in an April 30 press conference.
