Kiewitiz Construction Co Ltd has completed the completion of a $10 million development of a residential hotel and condominium complex in the northern Kiewites Creek area.
The development, at the intersection of Kiewiz Creek Road and Rennie Street, was built at a cost of $5 million and will include a residential and commercial property.
Kiewitiz is the construction and design consultancy company of Mr Lee, a former Melbourne football player and football player-turned-businessman.
He is also the owner of the Kewitz Golf Club, which will be redeveloped into a club.
Mr Lee said the development would be an ideal location for the development of the golf club.
“The property is situated right in the middle of the town of Kewits Creek,” Mr Lee said.
“We think it will be a good location for a new residential development as well as a sporting venue for a local event.”
Mr Lee and his partner are seeking permission to construct the development on a large site.
“It’s a bit of a long-term investment and it’s going to take time, but we believe it will work out,” he said.
The property will be sold for redevelopment.
Kiwitiz has also built a hotel on a former mining site, which it has described as a “giant development”.
“This is a brand new, iconic building with a world-class hotel, retail, and entertainment precinct,” the firm said in a statement.
“This will provide a new home for our existing clients and will provide new opportunities for our brand.”
The Kiewitz Golf Course, which is situated on the site, is owned by Mr Lee’s company.
It will be open to the public from April to October.
